Location, Props, Costume

The location I plan to take my photos is under a white background, this is because I want to contrast this white background with someone wearing black and a minor hint of red. With this in mind a suitable location would be the studio located in the college. This is a location will be a good use of equipment and also as its close by if I make a mistake whilst taking a photo then I can always rebook the studio for more images. I also think that this is a suitable location as I will not have to plan anywhere to go and arrange for somewhere to go and take photos. In my magazine I intend to use my front cover image as a background, having a white background with a character wearing black will stand out to the audience as the contrast of colours fit well.

For my props I will bring in my red fender guitar. This is because my target audience is for people who are interested in the Indie Rock genre, Using a guitar will give the rock genre feel also as the guitar is red this will contrast with the colours of black that the character will wear making both of these colours stand out against the white background. Also red is one of my main colours that my target audience wanted to see in my magazine so this is a great opportunity to add all of the 3 main colours into one image. This will additionally help reach out to my target audience as they wanted a rock type of genre which they can clearly see when someone is holding a guitar.

Finally for my costume I intend to have an indie rock type of theme clothing, Such as a jacket or shirt or jeans, This idea comes from Two Door Cinema Club, they are an indie rock band who wear casual type of clothing and to keep with this type of trend I intend to use the same type of clothing as them. As I already planned I intend to have someone wearing black type of clothing as I want to contrast it with my white background and also black is one of my main colours that my target audience wants to see so I think this will be a great opportunity to add this in. This clothing in black will also contrast really well with my red prop as the red will stand out from the black.
